Portmarnock Family Practice

Portmarnock Family Practice is a modern, computerised surgery and is a recognised teaching practice for UCD medical students. The surgery is wheelchair and buggy friendly. The waiting room has a play area for children and has cool filtered water on tap. There are baby changing facilities on site and there is free car parking facilities to the rear of the practice.

The practice was set up by Dr. Flanagan in 1991 and was originally located at the Stables office park. In 1996, as the practice expanded, it moved to the centre of Portmarnock opposite the church. In 2001 Dr. Valerie Flood joined the practice and in 2004 the partnership became known as Portmarnock Family Practice.

*From May 2011 we have a new WALK IN Clinic 9-10 am Monday-Friday for acute/urgent problems. No Appointment necessary!

*Welcome to Dr. David Woods who joined the practice in March 2011 . His special interests in mens health and joint injection will greatly add to the skills of the practice.

*We are administering Gardasil Cervical Cancer Vaccine at the practice. Please ring the surgery for more details.

*We are registered with the Cervical Screening Programme which offers free smear testing to women between the ages of 25-60 who have a letter of invitation.

*Portmarnock Family Practice is a registered Yellow Fever vaccination centre. For advice and all travel vaccinations please ring the surgery.
